Empower Health Services is thrilled to announce its first School Supply Drive. This initiative demonstrates Empower Health Services' commitment to giving back to the community and ensuring students have the tools to succeed academically. The organization aims to provide much-needed resources to one local school: Dresden Elementary School, DeKalb County institution that serves children from diverse backgrounds. It is the goal of Empower Health Services to support local staff and students by ensuring they have adequate school supplies. We are excited to give back to our community in such a meaningful way!

School teachers support the development of young minds and promote growth, yet many school staff and students face significant challenges in acquiring basic supplies. Empower Health Services recognizes education's critical role in shaping the future and is committed to reducing these barriers. For many students, having access to essential supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and backpacks can be life changing.


Marc Gordon, an Educator in DeKalb County Schools is currently in his 19th year as a Special Education teacher. Mr. Gordon, Co-Teaches and teams with a General Education Teacher in the and provides educational services to diverse learners with Special Needs in the Elementary School classroom.

Mr. Gordon, a graduate of Clark Atlanta University and member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., has worked for DeKalb County Schools since 2018. He will be the inaugural Basketball Coach at Dresden Elementary, where he previously served simultaneously as the Chair of the Special Education and 1st Grade Departments.
